Having a hard time deciding where to eat with that hangover? Try The Barbacoa (pork belly covered in egg) and the Butchers Bloody Marry, made with Tito’s Vodka and a slice of the house-cured Sopressata salami at Publican Quality Meats.
Publican Quality Meets (PQM) is a contemporary American butcher shop in the West Loop with a menu of unique sandwiches and beverages, boasting a 32-seat dining room along with additional outdoor seating. Designer and architect, Thomas Schlesser, is also responsible for the intimate and authentic designs of other well-regarded venues such as The Publican (across the street), Blackbird, avec, Big Star and Violet Hour. Depending on what you order, pair your meal with something like German rauch beer, a Flemish sour, or something hoppy. Just don’t confuse the meat locker with the restroom when in the basement (bellow).
